Herbal Medicine Online Certification Course
Herbal Medicine Online Course

The Herbal Medicine online certification course offers a comprehensive study of Western Herbal Medicine with a focus on the systemic use of herbal formulae and naturopathic herbal treatments.

Systemic use of herbal formulae treats the 'whole' person, rather than using treatment protocols for specific disease conditions, thus supporting the body's own healing intelligence. This approach is in alignment with naturopathic principles, which are the guiding light of natural medicine.

All of our online courses can be studied from anywhere in the world, and are personally mentored by school founder, Bonny Casel.

Thank you for your wonderful feedback -and for your clarity. I love reading your feedback it’s so incredibly helpful and delivered with such kindness. You have created such a beautiful course and I thank you for sharing your knowledge of these ancient wisdoms in such an accessible manner with me. I am so excited to be sharing all I have learned.

Dr. John Christopher, School of Natural Medicine Patron until his passing in 1981, was a leading pioneer of herbal and natural medicine for much of the last century, and is best known for his naturopathic approach to working with herbs systemically and for integrating traditional Western Herbal Medicine with the Native American material medica. He was school founder, Bonny Casel's, first teacher, and ignited her passion for natural medicine.

The herbal medicine course offered by the School of Natural Medicine UK, offers a complete system of herbal formulae founded on Dr. Christopher's approach to herbal medicine and naturopathic principles and was created by Dr. Farida Sharan (Founder of British School of Iridology and Natural Medicine in 1977 and author of Herbs of Grace). The herbal formulae work together to activate the eliminative channels and nourish and heal body organs, systems and glands. Students learn the fundamentals of creating effective herbal formulae, in addition to study the study of 116 primary herbs and dozens of supportive herbs.

This course provides the foundation needed for identifying, harvesting, and storing herbs, and for making tinctures, salves, fomentations, poultices, ovules, baths, infusions, syrups and medicinal herbal formulae.

If you wish to create your own herbal pharmacy, heal yourself, family and friends, create herbal products, import or export individual herbs or herbal formulae, or practice herbal medicine in a clinical setting, this course will remain a wealth of knowledge, wisdom and inspiration for years to come.

  • The Herbal Medicine certification course is accredited by the AADP. Upon graduation students receive the Herbal Medicine certification and qualify as a board accredited Holistic Health Practitioner.
