Naturopathy Online Certification Course

The online Naturopathy course offered by the School of Natural Medicine, UK integrates the study of Naturopathy, Healing Diets, Herbal Medicine and Iridology.

Naturopathy is a systemic approach to holistic natural medicine that recognises that the cause and cure of disease lies within the whole person; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Naturopathy works with natural laws of living, and the principles of cleansing, rejuvenation and transformation to create effective programs that integrate diet, lifestyle, emotional healing, supportive naturopathic therapies for acute and chronic conditions, cleansing, healing processes, exercise, breathing, behavioural therapy, awareness of relationships, the environment, and more.

In this course you will discover the value of cause and effect, as you learn to use this natural law to increase health and vitality, and to achieve balance, harmony and well being. Your clients will not only achieve relief of symptoms, they will achieve true health, as you educate them in preventative healthcare, longevity and conscious respect in daily life. This course includes the study of diet and nutrition, cleansing and rejuvenation, supportive herbal treatments, Iridology, the full spectrum of naturopathic treatments and lifestyle, consultation skills, building a practice and more.

Students progress at their own pace and are personally mentored by master teacher Bonny Casel by email and/or Skype as questions arise. Self Healing is a core study approach, combined with reading, research, writing, and creative projects, with a focus on understanding and personal experience, rather than simply rote memorisation, so that each student becomes an example of the teachings and an authentic guide for others.

Online courses can be taken individually, for certification, and you are welcome to progress towards diploma training by attending Summer Immersions, Clinical Training and the Self Healing Module at a later date.

  • FAQ

Can I begin with the Naturopathy online studies and choose to attend immersions for diploma training at a later date?
Yes! You are welcome to begin with the Naturopathy online training and, if at a later date, you would like to continue your studies by attending Immersion Trainings, undertaking the Self Healing module and, if required, attending Clinical Training, then your online studies will be applied in full towards diploma training.

How is the online study structured?
There are 50 lessons in the Naturopathy online course, and each lesson contains between 30 and 120 pages of detailed study material, with additional links, and/or recommended reading, depending on the lesson.

Assignments combine reading, research and writing, with creative projects and experiential self healing. Assignments for each lesson are sent together as a group for marking and feedback. If your assignments do not reach the standard required, then you are given the opportunity to develop your work and resubmit your assignments.

How do I get help if I have a question?
Help with questions is readily available by contacting Bonny Casel by email. If the questions are more complex, then Bonny will set up a time to speak with you on Skype.

Is there a deadline for competing the course?
The Naturopathy course typically takes students three years to complete, however there is a five year window for completion. Students can apply for an extension with extenuating circumstances. If a student has not sent in an assignment in six months, the student file is placed on hold for a further six months before being closed. There is a £100 fee to reactivate a student file that is on hold. Once a student file has been closed, the student file is deleted to comply with data protection laws.

Is the Naturopathy online diploma course accredited?
Each of our courses are accredited and you can view details of accreditation on our website by following this link. The Naturopathy online diploma course is accredited by AADP.

Are the online courses accredited internationally?
Each country has its own requirements and there is no accreditation available that is ‘international.’ In most countries, Naturopathy is not a regulated field, and in a few countries there are limitations on the use of the term Naturopath to those who have studied a medicalized version of naturopathy. In this case, graduates use the term Alternative Medical Practitioner or Holistic Health Practitioner. Some countries do require an examination in their own language, for example in Germany there is an examination required for all practitioners who make health recommendations, regardless of your qualifications. School of Natural Medicine graduates practice all over the world and we have never had a graduate who has been unable to practice and/ or teach in their home country.

Will I be able to obtain practice insurance upon graduation?
School of Natural Medicine UK graduates can obtain discounted block insurance from Balens insurance company in the UK, or with an insurance company in your own country. Professional memberships also frequently offer reduced fee insurance options.
