Bonny Casel has been teaching Naturopathy, Herbal Medicine, Healing Diets, Iridology and Vibrational Plant Medicine since 1988, and Quantum Botanicals, a synergistic approach to self healing supported by the full spectrum of plant food and medicine since 2015.
Bonny also created the first NHS course that integrates the full spectrum of dietary and lifestyle interventions for self care, delivered to SLAM NHS Trust, and now incorporated into the Recovery College.
Drawn to Natural Philosophy at an early age, Bonny had an upbringing uniquely supportive to her interest in nature and science. Her mother, Farida Sharan, was a leading pioneer of natural medicine in the UK, who founded the British School of Iridology and School of Natural Medicine in Cambridge in 1977. Farida brought many of the luminaries of natural medicine to England for the first time and graduated hundreds of students, many of whom have gone on to become leaders in the fields of Naturopathy, Iridology and Herbal Medicine today.
Bonny also developed an early fascination with quantum theory, as her step-father worked in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics and Cambridge University. She was fortunate to meet and be inspired by Stephen Hawking at an early age, and introduced to fractal geometry and quantum physics by colleagues of her step-after, including a serendipitous meeting with Benoit Mandelbrot himself!
Bonny has also studied personally with Dr. John Christopher, Dr. Bernard Jensen, Bruce Lipton, Dr. Farida Sharan (her mother…of course!), Denny Johnson, Dorothy Hall and Nassim Harramein, in addition to many other wonderful teachers.
Over the years, Bonny has integrated study of evidence-based diet, lifestyle and plant medicine with the work of leading scientists in a range of fields including biophysics, psychoneuroimmunology and mind-body research. Bonny's approach is grounded in practical self healing processes that bring the mind-body healing potential of plant food, essential oils, flower essences, and medicinal herbs, and the many of facets of a healthy, connected and conscious lifestyle into daily self care.
Bonny is the creator of the Healing Diets Diploma Course and the Quantum Botanicals Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses. She is also the co-author of the Herbal Medicine Diploma Course. Her writing and research into plant medicine and comparative constitutional types in traditional medicine has taken her to the US, Nepal, India, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. She also updated and developed the Naturopathy and Natural Physician courses, illustrated the new edition of 'Iridology - A Complete Guide' by Farida Sharan and content edited Herbs of Grace and Creative Menopause by Farida Sharan.
Bonny resides in London with her daughter and, in addition to her support of students and teaching at School of Natural Medicine UK, continues her work with offering Lifestyle Medicine for Self Care training to healthcare providers.
